Meet Our Team
Caitrin Swaney, Owner/Founder
A Massachusetts native, Caitrin earned her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. During her time at UNCG she studied at the American Dance Festival in Durham, NC and studied on scholarship with Gus Giordano in Chicago. At UNCG, she was a member of the Spartan G's dance team and was selected for multiple faculty concerts, performing the works of Duane Cyrus (School of Dance Director, The University of Arizona) and B.J Sullivan (Founder of Safety Release Technique). A mover by nature, she earned her group fitness certification and spent 3 years teaching yoga and pilates for UNCG Recreation.
Post graduation, Caitrin began her professional dance career touring with Thodos Dance Chicago, a contemporary ballet company. Yearning to be back on the east coast, she moved to Boston and spent two years as a NFL Cheerleader with The New England Patriots.
Her most notable performances include SuperBowl LIII, New Kids on the Block (TD Garden) and international performances in Germany, Saint Martin, Saint Lucia and Mexico.
While working remote in 2021, Caitrin's cousin invited her to visit Oxford for a month. She spent months traveling to big cities trying to determine where she would adventure to next but soon realized Oxford was the perfect place for her. In 2022, she began working with the OHS Chargerettes, setting the practice schedule, cleaning routines and coaching on performance technique that contributed to their 2022-2023 State Championship. After seeing the passion of Oxford dancers combined with the opportunity to improve technical training she knew she needed to offer more to this community.
Caitrin is dedicated to providing quality dance instruction and opportunities for her staff and students in hopes of inspiring a forever love of movement and art. Above all of her dance accolades, Caitrin is a follower of Christ, wife to her husband Walker J., and blessed to be a mother to their beautiful sweet son, Trey. Her faith and family is her greatest joy in life and her inspiration for sharing her love of dance with Mississippi.
